If you’re tired of guessing, pushing through pain, or feeling unheard, this session is where everything finally starts making sense.
A one-off assessment is perfect if you’re dealing with pain, uncertainty, or recurring niggles and you want clarity, direction, and a plan that actually makes sense for your body and your mindset.
Whether you’re an ACC or private client, the process is the same: simple, supportive, and grounded in whole-body care.
WHAT HAPPENS IN YOUR SESSION.
If any of this feels uncomfortably familiar, your Initial Assessment is the first step to breaking the cycle. This session is where we finally slow down long enough to understand what your body has been trying to tell you — the pain, the fatigue, the tightness, the burnout, all of it. Instead of guessing, pushing through, or starting another program you can’t maintain, we get clarity.
From there, I’ll help you choose the most supportive pathway for you — based on what your body actually needs, not a one-size-fits-all package.
-
We start with a conversation about your injury history, current movement routines/programs, lifestyle, stress, movement habits, and what you’ve been experiencing because it’s all contributing to your pain and recovery.
This gives me a full picture of what your body has been holding — not just where it hurts. We also explore how your mindset and beliefs about movement, pain, or recovery may be affecting your progress. -
Next, we explore how your body actually moves:
joint mobility and range of motion
strength and muscle balance
functional or gym based movements
breathing patterns
positions that reproduce pain or discomfort
This helps us see the real patterns underneath the surface, including how tension, fear, or movement habits may be holding you back.
-
Using everything we gather, I break down — in simple, real-world language — what’s contributing to your pain or limitation.
This could include mobility restrictions, strength gaps, movement habits, nervous system load, old compensations, lifestyle factors, and mindset blocks.
We reduce the confusion and give you a clear pathway forward, you go from feeling “stuck” to knowing exactly where and how to move to create change. -
Before you walk out the door, you’ll receive a personalised plan that may include:
clear short-term and long-term goals
movement strategies
strategies to help to relieve symptoms
breathwork or nervous system tools (if needed)
mindset strategies to help you move with confidence and resilience
lifestyle guidance that fits your real life
let you know what pathway is best for you
No cookie-cutter programs. No overwhelm. Just clarity and direction — body and mind aligned
-
You leave feeling:
clear on what’s going on,
confident in your next steps,
empowered with tools that actually create change, and
mentally ready to move with less fear and more awareness. You go from feeling “stuck” to knowing exactly where and how to make movements that support recovery, strength, and long-term wellbeing.
It’s the starting point for long-term strength, movement, and well-being — body and mind together.
